Dennis L. Nerland, QC, Advisor
Dennis L. Nerland received his Bachelor of Science Degree with honors in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Calgary in 1975. Further pursuing his education, he received his Master of Arts Degree in Economics from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario in 1976 and finally, his Juris Doctorate from the University of Calgary in 1979. Dennis has completed the Rotman / Haskayne Directors Education Program and achieved the designation of Institute-Certified Director (ICD.D) from the Institute of Corporate Directors in 2011. Dennis has also successfully completed the Rotman Financial Literacy Program and has received the TEP designation from the Society of Trust and Estate Planners (STEP). In 2014, Dennis was appointed a Queen’s Counsel (QC) of Alberta.
Dennis is presently a director and trustee of a significant number of private financial businesses and trusts. In addition to this he is currently, and has previously been, a director of numerous public companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Dave Griffith, Advisor
Dave Griffith is a seasoned leader with years of experience across North America, founding, growing and then selling a successful Thru-Tubing business. Griffith’s company DSI Thru-tubing was sold in early 2014 to ALS Oil and Gas.
Griffith began his career in Red Earth, Alberta where he worked on drilling rigs and was exposed to many facets of oil and gas operations. He continued as a technician and traveled across North America and off shore managing Thru-Tubing solutions. Dave spent twelve years building a division within Baker Hughes of which this expertise, helped him found DSI Thru-tubing in 2011.
Dave grew up in Swan River, Manitoba. He lives in Rocky View, Calgary with this wife and four children. In his spare time he enjoys four wheeling, sledding, skeet shooting, fishing, camping and water sports.

Nicholas Donohoe, Advisor
Nicholas Donohoe has operated at an executive level and in a driving role in several high-growth companies over the past 14 years. As the past CEO of ICI Artificial Lift Inc., Nicholas has gained a unique perspective on growing a technology-based business within an emerging segment of the Oil and Gas industry. Combining a technical understanding with a business mind set, Nicholas was able to move the company through its Planning Stage (Growth Planning, Capital Restructuring, Company Re-branding, Sales Collateral Development, Technical Development), through Implementation (Plan Execution, Market Push, Sales Push), through Development (Product Advancement, New Product Development, Market Development, Strategic Direction) and into a rapid Growth Phase (Targeted Sales, Domestic Expansion, International Expansion).
Under Nicholas’ leadership, ICI grew rapidly in western Canada (Profit 100 – 5th fastest growing company for 2008 and 2nd in the Fast Growth 50 for 2009), and established a foothold in Australia, India, Yemen, the USA, UK, Africa, Mexico, Peru, Chile, and Argentina, culminating in the acquisition of the firm in 2012 by a multinational, Fortune 500 company. As a result of this rapid growth, Nicholas was a finalist in Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in 2012.
Prior to joining ICI, Nicholas was the President/CEO of Vencom Business Solutions Inc., a boutique consulting firm that specialized in structuring, planning and rapidly advancing technology-based, high-growth potential opportunities. In its first 5 years of operation, Vencom helped its clients raise $68.3 Million in public and private sector financing.
Nicholas obtained a Master’s Degree in Business from the University of Alberta in 1999.



Mike Keay, Advisor
Mike was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. After graduating from high school he started working for Ocean Trailer, a company founded by his father in 1981. Mike became a Journeymen Trailer Mechanic and went on to run several successful businesses before becoming partners with his brother Sid as owners and operators of Ocean Trailer in 2005.
Mike is responsible for ensuring the profitable operation and strategic direction of all locations. Under Mike’s direction, Ocean has grown tremendously from one small office with four employees and a few trailers to five locations from Nanaimo to Winnipeg, over 250 employees and over 8,000 trailers. Ocean Trailer’s success can be attributed to hard work, treating employees like family and a relentless focus on customer satisfaction through providing the highest standard for quality and service in the trailer industry.
Mike is married with three children and resides in Calgary. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, time at the cabin with family and friends, and working on cars and motorcycles.
